Tomorrow I leave for Las Vegas for the Caesars Tournament and will be trying to find the websites that will be covering the events. I will be updating the blog with all the information.

Prop Bets
So in the Poker World there are some weird antics that go on. I thought that I would write about a few that I have become aware of since sitting at the tables in Aruba. The first two are very similar and the 3rd is down right Crazy.
Late at night (Friday, September 28, 2007), Matt Giannetti agreed to a $15,000 prop bet to spend 12 straight hours (starting at midnight, ending at noon) in the pool at Club Med in the Turks & Caicos. There was far more than that at stake in the side action.
Giannetti won the bet, climbing out of the pool to applause shortly after 12:00 noon on the 29th.
Now there is an even bigger prop bet in the works between Mark Seif and Sean McCabe. For $100,000, McCabe (who is a certified rescue diver) will stand shoulder-deep in the ocean for 24 straight hours, with nothing but cold water to sustain him (no food).
Last we heard, the bet would start during the WPT Final Table being taped at Turks & Caicos. Coverage at WorldPokerTour.com if he attempts this endurance challenge. In fact, Mark Seif will be following his progress.
Both of these bets I heard second hand and did not get to actually see the challenge occur. But that is nothing to the one that I heard at my table during day 1 of the main event. We had a very talkative table and many stories were told and the bets above were brought up and then a young 24 year old player, who I really took a liking to; he was charismatic and a good player and I did enjoy playing with him. He was of very small stature and must not of weighed more then a 145. As we discussed these bets, he brought up a bet that he would be willing to take; He stated that he would be willing to spend 10 years in a maximum security federal penitentiary for 2 Million a year. Actually give up 10 years of his life and maybe his entire life as it would be in jeopardy by spending 10 years in prison. MY GOD WHAT HAVE WE COME TO FOR MONEY!!!
As I hear interesting stories I will update the blog.
