There is only 18 more days until the 2007 World Series of Poker. This year is going to be a very exciting year for the WSOP. There is going to be a total of 55 events this year beginning on June 1st. ESPN will be filming all events and determining what events they are going to air and when; what is confirmed is that event #1 will be aired before the beginning of the Main Event this year.
The most exciting thing this year is that the starting chips for all events will be doubled and the rounds will be increased. Meaning more chips and more time to play. This is great for good players and allows them to be selective in the hands they play and time to trap the not so good players. They have made these modifications with the help of popular pros such as Barry Greenstein and Howard Lederer.
They have also adjusted the way the prize pool will be distributed so that it isnt quite so top heavy so that if you barely make it into the money places you will still get nearly double what your entry fee was.
a little over 2 weeks left and look forward to reporting the inside action at the Rio Casino Resort.
